In my professional experience I have worked in a variety of different jobs. I have experienced work in retail, hospitality, sports, administration and education. My career has provided opportunity for extensive overseas travel and I have lived in both South Africa and the United States.
I am an excellent team player, I am innovative and I am constantly searching for ways to improve current practices. I work on a philosophy of honesty and integrity and I believe that with these traits and my vast life experience that I am an asset to any organisation.
Teaching Internship - Whitsunday Anglican School

As part of completing my Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching I spent 5 weeks as an intern teacher at Whitsunday Anglican School. During this time I was able to work with amazing staff and teach HPE to middle school aged children, hopefully passing on my passion for sport and continual learning, to all students.

This role included development, assessment and submission of projects and high level reports for management. As part of the Zone’s Sport’s Strategy Group I was responsible for assisting SSOs, NSOs, and community groups to align with the Australian Sports Commission’s strategic objectives for the sporting sector. Additionally, I coordinated physical activity programs for school aged children, worked closely with community stakeholders, conducted regular administrative tasks and ran sporting events. I acted as Regional Manager regularly and enjoyed the challenge of coordinating and managing staff.

Head Coach Women's Hockey Program
2003-2007
As Head Coach at the NSW Institute of Sport my role was to assist with the development of Nationally and State identified players. I coordinated the delivery of Institute services to athletes including strength and conditioning, career and education, exercise physiology, sports psychology, sports nutrition and injury management. I managed all aspects of the program budget, prepared player reports and implemented multiple tier programs for the State.
USA Field Hockey Association
National Coach Women's Hockey Program
1999-2003
This role involved the management of 24 National USA athletes on a professional and personal level in a residential training environment. I successfully prepared the National team for International tournaments, assisted athletes in all areas of hockey development, organised and conducted high performance coaching clinics and designed and implemented individual and team training programs
Queensland Academy of Sport
Head Coach Women's Hockey Program

In this role as with the NSWIS role, I coordinated Academy services to all athletes, prepared athletes for National selection, implemented training programs and ran all aspects of my Academy budget. Important in my coaching philosophy is the ability to nurture strong relationships with players and other stakeholders to ensure positive communication channels and positive outcomes for all.
